The Master/slave books that I recommend as MUST READS
These Master/slave books I have read myself and recommend to anyone that wants to find out more about Mastery and slavery and the BDSM lifestyle. With the exception of The Ethical Slut, all the BDSM books have been written for gay male-identified relationships.

Becoming a slave
A potential master recommended this book to me some years ago. Inside is a reflection and wisdom of what becoming a slave really means. Includes topics such as practical advice on how to find a Master, to how to train yourself to become a better slave.
The Ethical Slut
If you are in a relationship with more than one person, or you are considering a relationship with more than one person, then I recommend this book as a must-read.
It talks about the intricacies of polyamorous relationships. It is very open about the issues that can exist, including jealously and people deal with these issues.
Beyond Obedience
Beyond Obedience – a book written by a Master and slave that see The Master/slave relationship as spiritual – a fantastic and thought-provoking read.
Ask the Man Who Owns Him: The real lives of gay Masters and slaves
An incredible book where the authors have interviewed real-life Master slaves. By reading the book and discovering all the different people being interviewed, you will understand how different each Master/slave relationship can manifest. You realise there is no one size fits all approach to this lifestyle and the difference between reality and fantasy.
Ties that Bind
Recommended by multiple sources, but a book I have not read yet. The book compiles writings by Guy Baldwin around relationships, the community, the SM experience, and personal transformation, as they relate to erotic play.

Fiction Master/slave books
Oh my, The Deviation Series! – a fictional account of Master and slave coming together. Beautiful written and exploring many facets of the Master/slave relationship. I do not tend to read much gay fiction, let alone Master/slave BDSM fiction.

But this book series was recommended and gifted to me by two dear friends. I also have a fond memory of reading the 3rd book while caged for 5 days (a present from the Master caging me for good service). Now extended to 6 books, though when I first read them, there was only 4!
